Proof
Three things Postal does that stacks of apps don't
01 · Capture

Brain dump → tasks

Paste a multi-line list or speak one. Postal splits it into tasks and notes, picks up due dates when it can, and lets you review and capture in one step.

Call dentist tomorrow
Buy milk, eggs, bread
Research competitor pricing
Ship v1.4 Friday
02 · Ritual

Morning Postal

Every morning: overdue, due today, calendar, AI insight, and one focus action — Help me / Mark done / Move to today.

Morning Postal · 2 overdue · 3 due today
Focus next: Start with “Call dentist” — clear the oldest overdue first.
03 · Act

Ask, and it acts

Postal doesn't just make a list — it does the thing. Put it on your calendar, draft the email, or kick off research that comes back as a note.

You: Block 2 hours Thursday for the deck, and draft a reply to Sam.
Postal: Added “Deck” 2–4pm Thu · draft ready in Gmail · researching Sam’s ask →

We built an AI that can run your day

Capture, remember, research, schedule, and follow up — not another chatbot bolted onto a to-do list.

Morning Postal

AI

Named morning ritual: overdue, due today, calendar, insight, and one-tap focus actions (help me, mark done, move to today).

Brain Dump

NEW

Paste a multi-line mess or speak a list. Postal splits it into tasks, notes, and research with due dates for one-tap confirm.

Active Recall

AI

A semantic index of everything you write. Mention a topic and Postal surfaces your own past thinking, connected to notes you forgot you had.

Background Research

AI

Ask the AI to look into something. It searches the web, synthesizes findings, and saves a note — while you keep working.

Web Monitoring

Automation

Built-in URL watcher reads any website for you and notifies you the moment something meaningful changes — product pages, competitor moves, job listings, policy updates.

Voice Input

Interface

Tap the mic, speak, done. Local transcription — no audio leaves your machine.

Scriptable AI

Power

The AI writes and executes JavaScript against your data in a sandbox. Bulk operations, cross-referencing, statistical summaries.

Calendar Integration

Productivity

Google Calendar events alongside tasks, conflict detection, push due dates to your calendar.

Configurable Engagement

AI

Three modes: proactive (chief of staff), helpful (on-demand), passive (silent until asked).

Smart Reminders

AI

AI sets reminders based on context, not just dates you manually pick.

Agent Compatible

Integration NEW

Every workspace is readable by Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and any AI with file access. The format is documented in AGENT.md.

Proactive Nudges

AI

Throughout the day, Postal checks in — surfacing tasks you haven't touched, ideas you meant to follow up on, and deadlines you're quietly drifting toward.

Self-Improving Loop

AI

Postal watches its own logs and errors, identifies recurring friction, and corrects it over time. Your workflow gets smoother without you doing anything.

Parallel Agents

Power

Multiple agents work simultaneously on different parts of your workflow, then synthesize results. High-quality output, in a fraction of the time.

Local LLM Ready

Integration

The entire AI layer is model-agnostic. Swap to Ollama, LM Studio, or any OpenAI-compatible local model. Your data stays on your machine — always.

For developers
Works without the UI. Then picks up on your phone.

Postal has a real CLI, so your scripts, coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot), cron jobs — your whole machine — can capture, organize, and act headlessly, without ever opening the app.

Then you pick up the same brain in the UI on your phone and go. One place, whether you live in a terminal or on the couch.

# from any terminal, script, or agent
echo "Refund the AWS overcharge" | postal
postal --due 2026-07-12 --label Work "Ship v1.5"

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Postal free?

Yes. Bring your own API key and Postal is free forever — full product, no expiring trial, no locked features. You only pay your AI provider at cost (often a few dollars a month). If you’d rather skip keys entirely, Managed AI is $20/month: we run frontier models for you and background work keeps running on our servers even when the app is closed.

What makes Postal different from other task apps?

Postal is AI-native from the ground up. It doesn't just have an AI chat bolted on — the AI is your daily companion that does briefings, runs background research, monitors websites, catches calendar conflicts, and proactively nudges you. Everything is stored as plain Markdown and JSON files, so any AI agent (Claude, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) can read and write your tasks without plugins or APIs.

Can other AIs actually manage my tasks in Postal?

Yes. Because everything lives in real files on your computer, tools like Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT Advanced Voice, GitHub Copilot, and custom scripts can create, update, complete, and organize tasks by simply reading and writing files. The open format is documented in AGENT.md. No special integration required.

Do I have to manage files or folders?

No. Sign in and Postal just works — your tasks, notes, and memory live in the cloud and sync across your devices. If you'd rather keep everything local, bring your own API key and point Postal at a plain folder of files on your machine. Your call.

How does sync work?

Sign in and Postal keeps everything in sync across macOS and the web automatically — capture on your laptop, see it on your phone in seconds. Nothing to wire up. Postal is single-player for now; team sharing is on the roadmap.

What about Google Calendar?

Postal has deep calendar integration. It shows your events alongside tasks, detects conflicts with due dates, lets you add tasks to your calendar with one click, and includes today's meetings in your daily briefing. It uses the open-source gws CLI under the hood.

Where is my data stored, and can I get it out?

When you're signed in, your data syncs securely through Postal's own cloud. Prefer local? With your own API key, everything is plain Markdown and JSON in a folder you choose — open, edit, back up, or version-control it with any tool. Either way it's your data, in open formats, no lock-in.

How does the AI actually help me every day?

We built an AI that gives you a morning briefing with overdue items, calendar conflicts, and focus areas. It runs background research, monitors websites for changes, sets smart reminders, and can execute JavaScript against your data in a safe sandbox. You can set it to "proactive", "helpful", or "passive" mode.
